- Other Regions: The substance is subject to legal restrictions in various other jurisdictions, and its use and sale are often unregulated in illicit markets.
Risks and Effects
Clonazolam is considered highly potent and can produce strong sedation and amnesia at doses as small as 0.5 mg, which increases the risk of accidental overdose. Its effects are similar to other benzodiazepines and can include:
- Sedation and lethargy
- Muscle relaxation
- Anxiolysis (anxiety reduction)
- Amnesia (memory loss)
- Respiratory depression (insufficient breathing)
